Meet the founder

Experience built through responsibility.

A business built with purpose.

My career began in dependency, where I worked as a court and judicial liaison helping navigate matters involving children and families. That experience taught me early that behind every case file is a person relying on others to communicate clearly, follow through, and pay attention to the details. Those lessons continue to shape how I work today.

I later transitioned into guardianship, becoming the sole paralegal responsible for supporting an entire guardianship practice area under attorney supervision. Taking ownership of the day-to-day work meant keeping matters organized, preparing filings, tracking deadlines, communicating with clients, and helping cases move forward. As my responsibilities expanded into probate, I developed a deeper understanding of the work involved in administering estates and supporting families through unfamiliar and often emotional circumstances.

At my next firm, my role grew from handling cases to improving how the department operated. I helped organize a demanding probate caseload, strengthen workflows, establish procedures, and bring greater consistency to case management. I ultimately became the Probate Department Supervisor, overseeing daily operations, training staff, and supporting a department responsible for more than 100 active probate matters. That experience taught me how to see both the details within an individual file and the systems an entire team needs to work effectively.

I founded Shaw Professional Services, LLC because I wanted to build a career with greater flexibility while continuing to do work I enjoy and take pride in. I also understood how valuable experienced, dependable support can be to an attorney managing a growing practice. Through my business, I bring that experience to firms that need ongoing assistance, help with a demanding project, or additional support during a busy season.

Today, I provide probate, guardianship, trust administration, and attorney-directed estate planning drafting support. My approach is hands-on and organized: understand the assignment, identify what is missing, communicate clearly, and follow through. I want the attorneys I support to feel confident that someone is paying close attention and taking ownership of the work entrusted to them.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University and a Master of Science in Cybercrime from the University of South Florida, along with a Graduate Certificate in Digital Forensics. My education strengthened my research and analytical skills; my experience taught me how to put those skills to work for attorneys and the people they serve.
